From Buffalo Business First...

Results of a prominent college-admission test are now available at the district level for Western New York and the Rochester Area.

The SAT (formerly known as the Scholastic Aptitude Test) is divided into two parts, evidence-based reading/writing (ERW) and math, which are separately scored on a scale from 200 to 800 points. The maximum combined score is 1600.

Districts are ranked by average combined scores. (The two components for a given district may not add precisely to its combined score because of rounding.)

Business First obtained the SAT scores from the New York State Education Department, which redacted the results for districts with fewer than 10 test-takers. Business First then removed the school systems with fewer than 20

Courious why a school district like Alfred or Perry automatically fall into the "western NY" region?
