I live in a two family house in Brooklyn. I'm having some issues with my landlord regarding the trash.
Since we moved in we left our garbage on the side of the house. The neighbors complained that the trash wasnt in bins and he tripped over the bag. Our landlord told us not to place our trash there anymore. He tells us we should leave the bags on our lawn. I'm currently landscaping so that's not an option.
We left the bags on the curb but the garbage company didn't pick it up for whatever reason. Now he says we're responsible for a fine.
I'm just confused because we dont know what our options are. We cant leave it on the lawn, leaving it on the curb wont work because maybe it wont get picked up. And we cant leave it on side of the house because we dont have bins. Is he responsible for buying us bins so we can properly dispose of our trash?
Why don't you just buy a trash can to put the garbage in?
