Hi,
We're considering moving to Scarsdale (still debating vs Short Hills, NJ) for the school system, but realize the HS got rid of AP a while back.
How does the Advanced Topics system fare in comparison? Do kids still need to get tested to get into those advanced classes like they did for AP? (Millburn HS requires testing to get into AP classes)
It seems like college admission hasn't been impacted - but does the new system make the school less high-pressured like before with AP?
I have a fairly laid-back middle schooler and this would make a huge difference in our decision. Thanks!!
Thank you!! Just posted this on the Westchester forum.
