“Four Upstate New York waterways are among the nation’s best bass fishing spots of the decade, according to Bassmaster Magazine.

The waterways, listed in the magazine’s recently released July/August issue, include Lake Erie, Lake Champlain, the St. Lawrence River and Oneida Lake. The No. 1 lake in the country on the magazine’s list was Clear Lake in California.”

I can definitely agree on those first three. Erie, has world class smallmouth bass, steelhead, and walleye.
St lawerence, more largee and smallmouth bass, tremendous musky and prince pike . Lake Champlain, world class smallmouth bass fishing in the northern end, and world class largemouth bass fishing to the south. Trout, pike, musky galour.
As for the last one, I dunno.....
Northern NY is a sportsmans paradise. So beautiful, so much varying terrain. Just wish it weren't so blue.

And if your incapable of having a fishing excursion without fixating on the prevalent political climate than thats your fault. Go fish big mouth in all the brown waters of those red states you seem to favor....

^Yeah, that is odd...Oneida Lake is about 20 minutes NE of Syracuse and even in a political sense, it isn’t that “blue”(if at all).

lol, nahhh. I never said I favored them. But for now I will fight with my vote. Down there? Saltwater son. No mud bass fishing for me. Reds, sea trout, cobia.
