Nope. Back in it's heyday, it was a gorgeous home, but it's been destroyed. It could easily cost half a million dollars to repair it. Now it needs a 100% update of everything. It hasn't been well taken care of by the NYC couple at all. Doesn't look heated which is a problem come winter even without water or plumbing. This place is just a money pit now. Makes no sense to sink that kind of money into a house in Moravia. You'll never get anywhere near it back.

Agree, stripping it to the studs and removing all that horsehair plaster was a travesty....

The ones with the land sound intriguing. All but the Adirondack camp are so not my architectural style. It would be cool to own some land when we move up there though.

This country has been brainwashed to buy houses and not homes. Nobody puts down roots anymore, and everything is about a flip.

With that being said, nice shell. Needs a fence surrounding the property, a driveway, and a parking garage.

Brainwashed? What are you talking about? People have been moving about since they came here hundreds of years ago. People move for various reasons. Quite often we move for a job.

This property isn't that large to do all of the things you say. It doesn't need a fence. You can't put a fence in the front of most properties due to visibility on roadways. A driveway and a garage may not be feasible due to property lines and town code.

From what the pictures show it was beautiful too bad that had to happen to it. So sad these wonderful homes that are not kept up.

Houses like these cost North of $80K or more to fix, what they don't publicize. Seriously, this needs to be addressed cuz brokers are taking advantage exploiting people. Seen enough articles of stupid kids taking out a 6 figure loan to buy a dilapidated house and then weeks after their 15m of fame in the local News Paper, the very same kids make a $30-$50K GoFundMe cuz they found structural issues and can't afford the remodeling costs.

At that point, it would be better to demolish and build a cheap modern house for another $70-80K.

For some reason media that targets Millennials/ Generation Z glorify normalize this crap kinda like minimalism and living in a van. It is not hipster or financially smart you're just broke. it highlights the lack of affordable housing in this country when run down inhospitable buildings are viewed as "bargains".

If you work a full-time job should be able to find decent housing live the American Dream.

Not in today's America.

Everyone's laughing, but I bet with the exodus from NYC, someone will grab this and make it brand new again. Something like this in NYC would be $10 million. Yes, I know, location, location, location, but the person that buys this COULD make Moravia a "location". Someone from NYC is doing that in Mt. Morris
