Are there plans to re-extend the line at least as far as Boston Corners? Once upon a time, people could take rail from nearby Massachusetts with ease.

Clearly, there was enough demand to re-extend the line back up to Wassaic. Why are rail trails important. Can't rail trails and commuter rail co-exist?

Waaaaaaay too dangerous for NY to handle something like that. Lol some fool may win the Darwin Award walking on the actual tracks instead of the trail. C’mon you already knew that didn’t you?

If a rail trail is going in/was developed, the tracks were probably sitting unused for a while. If they put more rail in, which could be good, they'd probably route it differently.
