Hello. We are considering buying a home in Warwick to possibly run as a Bed and Breakfast. I know there are other ones in the area, ... but how much business do they get??? Is there a lot of people wanting to visit the Warwick area from the city for a quick "get away"? Is the tourism there seasonal, and then desolate the rest of the year? We want to make sure if we attempt this business venture, that we are investing in an area that is a desirable place for travelers. Please be honest. Any opinions would be greatly appreciated.
I know in the fall Warwick is booming! Especially during Applefest in Oct. I use to live in Warwick and am now in Goshen. I go into Warwick often and if the weather is nice there are always people walking around the village in all the shops. There are some really great restaurants there too. I know of 2 B&B's there but I really couldn't tell you how their business is. I love it as a destination to shop and eat, I also know that the local businesses really rely on the tourist because not many locals shop at the village stores anymore.(I know a few owners) Sorry I couldn't be of more help! Good luck!
