“Billy Fuccillo, whose trademark "It's gonna be Huuuuuuuuuggge," ended his car dealership commercials for years across Upstate New York and Florida had died.”
I don’t know if many people know this about him, but he is a Greenport native, that was an all state Football player in HS for the Porters before playing at Syracuse University in the 1970’s. NYSSWA expands its all-state football archive

What was it 25-30 years about when he was up in Adams once a year he had the Hugeathon and no matter where you went those ads.................
I actually thought they were good ads so didn't bother me but if you hated the ads then you was screwed.
He musta used the money to go mainstream cause suddenly he had dealerships all over and ads got much quieter.
I never bought a car from him in the loud days cause Syracuse/Adams was to far away (many people in Eastern NY didn't think that and his plate brackets were all over the place). When I moved over west in NY I have bought cars from him. Very normal now days. Like any other dealer honestly.

So sad - my son met him and said he was a very nice guy. I hated the ads but purchased and leased a few cars from him and his employees I dealt with said he treated them well.

What a shame. Maybe he liked it that way, but I had no idea who the person behind the person was. Seems like a really nice guy.

A few sales folks I know in Rochester worked for him and can confirm this.
