My wife desperately wants to remain in NY state but has drawn the line at giving the covid vaccine to our 6 and 7 year old for them to attend school. Does anyone on this forum have any reasonably good indication of what Hochul might do with respect to requiring this for attending public (or private) school in the fall?
We live in a school district that does only the minimum required by the state, so I'm confident that if Hochul and/or my county don't do it, we won't have to move. We have some friends in the education space and they always seem to have inside info that turns out to be accurate, but not this time. We really want to renovate our house but won't be spending another dime on it until we know for sure; that likely won't happen at least until the primaries but more likely the general election as this has all become very political.
I hope this doesn't turn into a pro- or anti-vaccine debate; just looking to see if anyone has seen anything published, or heard anything unpublished, indicating one way or the other with respect to the state government.
