Even with 45 speeding tickets, hell 145, it’s impossible to kill EVERYONE

So they lowered all speeds jn NYC and installed cameras all over to automatically ticket you.

Now GOVERNMENT wants to install a device in your car if you get 6 or more tickets and label you “wreck-less” even if you were caught going 37 MPH a few times.

Democrats are the tyrants we were warned about but they still pretend to be the good guys and sheep swallow it up

Next step is to take away your license

Question: what will they do to Jeumanne Williams who has over 26 tickets? Or is he just exempt?
What's interesting about this, is that the device would be installed on vehicles that had gotten tickets from speed camera's - tickets which supposedly don't add points - yet they can cause for a vehicle to have a device installed.

"What's your beef, NDL?"

A couple...

First, NYC speed limits are set artificially low: segments on Hylan Blvd are 30MPH, which is ridiculous. Bay Street is 25 MPH, Richmond Avenue is 35MPH, as is Father Capodanno. Highway 485 in NC is set to 70MPH: if motorists get tickets on 485, they deserve them.

Second, what if in rare instances a person needs to break the speed limit? What if a single woman is being tailed by a lunatic, or a person's rushing to the hospital? A police officer can discern driver intent, and make adjustments accordingly; speed camera's cannot.

In a single day, a motorist can rush to the hospital, rack up a bunch of tickets, and be forced to have a device installed.

"Call an ambulance"

Sometimes an ambulance isn't needed if someone got a deep cut requiring stitches; a person's having a severe allergic reaction, asthma attack, etc.

This is my problem with automated devices, which cannot discern driver intent.

You're right. It's actually a state issue. So I'll move it to the state forum.

How about a device that detects weed usage and disables the car? That would handle the speeding and risk of accidents at the same time. In addition you know you are targeting the driver of the car at that moment and not just going after the car like the speeding camera does. The camera does not determine who the driver is
