Another fine bit of work from Hochul and democrat majority in Albany in cahoots with trial attorneys of NY.

As of 1 August 2023 all policies issued, renewed or modified after that date will pay for supplemental spousal liability insurance coverage. This regardless of holder's marital status or needs. Only way to avoid this is to actively opt out in writing.
