I will move to North Country in few months.

I am looking for 2-3 bedroom house in Watertown, Sackett's Harbor, Phila...or some other nice/small town.

however, most results in web-searches show houses built in literalyy XIX century...

Do you have any new residential communities, or new homes for sale?

I mean, if one is going to pay like 150K for a house, why would one want a refurbished house built in 1860-1890?...

Thanks.

There are new houses, there just aren't whole neighborhoods of them as you would find in other places. There was never a need and people preferred established neighborhoods.

Some of those turn of the century houses have wonderful woodwork that you don't find in new houses and offer more room than one newly built at the same price. A new home, for here that means anything built in the last 30 years, will likely cost much more than the price range you have targeted. There are newer town houses and apts in some sections
