I believe his son own the radio station to this day. So, this is the first Black owned radio station in NY State: WDKX.com | 103.9 FM Rochester NY

Ironically, Mr. Langston's hometown of Dawson GA is also where Washington DC's first Black mayor was born, but who was also raised in Jamestown at a very young age. https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Walter_Washington

So, SW Georgia is an area of the South where many Black people in Upstate NY came from or have roots in.
