Hi - The casino is not near Cairo - the casino is further south/west - towards the PA border. I'd recommend you check out realtor.com and other real estate listings for the Cairo area to get an idea of what the property you are referring to is worth. The Cairo area has been a desirable one in recent years. Obviously, the condition of all the buildings/ inground pool will greatly influence it's worth, as well as the type of land (flat, mountainous, wetland, etc...).

Good luck to you!

The casino you're talking about may be the one they want to build in Saugerties. Don't think it will happen. The town doesn't want it.

125 acres? That is a nice chunk of land. May be worth looking into. Cairo is still a bit isolated but are the houses rented out? If so for how long and what rent? Might be possible to subdivide and sell of the land bit by bit to cover the property taxes..

I would certainly think about this offer. Cairo is near Catskill and for some NYC people this region near Hunter MT is a summer getaway. How much is she asking?
