What does the lake have?? Dirty water. They have to often close Charlotte beach to swimming because the water is too drity (although it's not a big deal because then everyon just goes to Durand beach, about 5 minutes away). There aren't any large "critters" if you will that would be a danger or a bother. I know that at my families lake house in Kuckville NY, about an hour west of Rochester, we once saw a large anmial that we SWORE looked like Nessie, but it was probably just our imaginations.

i'minformed, NY is beautiful. I think I've annoyed the people on the NC forum enough so I'll stick to NY. My sister lives in Leroy so we're considering a move there.

lol.... yeah, you've pretty much alienated yourself there by speaking your opinion (much of which is the truth). Leroy is pretty nice, lol, it's where Jell-o was invented I think.
