Does anyone have an opinion or sense of what are the "good" neighborhoods and areas of Beacon and which ones to avoid living and purchasing a home in?

I would suggest looking into the Chelsea area-there's MANY new homes going up there-some have great river views. South of Beacon-on 9D there are new homes going in also. Nicer homes tend to be found outside of the Main Street area where downtown is, Glenham has great family neighborhoods-I've got a bunch of friends on that side of the district-Glenham elementary is a a good school too.

It's off Rt. 9D. Turn left at Chelsea Road and that will lead you down to River Road down by the marina. Very pretty down there and there are newer homes down by Briarwood and Thornacres.
