I am looking for any information that can be shared about possible jobs in the Ithaca area? Does anyone one know if they have mental health services in the public schools? Are there many child/family psychologist in the area? Thanks
These are Civil Service positions and a point of contact would be the county personnel office in Tompkins County and in the adjacent counties (Cayuga, Cortland, Tioga, Chemung, Schuyler, Seneca). In these areas the county also manages the civil service for cities, towns, and school districts, so they would be a good point of initial contact. I had direct experience 15 years ago with trouble that the nearby Cortland County mental health services had in attracting and retaining licensed professionals. So I would suggest looking also in neighboring communities.
My wife is looking to start a private practice in the area. She has a PhD in clinical psychology and we are trying to make sure her practice would make it.
