Specifically, Kingston, Gardiner, New Paltz, Highland and Lloyd. Oh and Marlboro? My husband and I are relocating to the area with our 3-year old and new baby.

The area you choose will depend in whether you want to live in a small city (Kingston), or a more rural area. Also important is whether you are planning to rent or buy property and if buying, how much you want to spend. Also I would advise adding the hamlet of Wallkill to your list. It is about 5 or 6 miles south of Gardiner on route 208 and the real estate is less expensive . Good luck whatever you decide to do.

Can I assume you're from Texas based on your name? Can you be more specific with what you're looking for? The areas you listed, although very close in proximity, are drastically different.

Where will your jobs be located? How concerned are you with being in a good school district? What kind of population density are you comfortable with? What's your budget? What amenities are you looking for? What sort of community would you like? What sorts of driving times are you looking for?
