Is anyone available to give me some information on the city of Eaton in upstate New York? I am considering relocating to Eaton and would like to know of other's impressions of Eaton.

Sorry that I can't answer your question about Eaton, but I have visited Hamilton, which is very nearby.

Hamilton is a VERY nice town. Stately and civilized. Its college students seem unusually well-behaved there in terms of their off-campus conduct. Lots of great old housing, very well-kept, a lovely village green with summer concerts, some nice pubs and restaurants, and an overall healthy and civilized feel. It is pretty pricey, but if you can afford it, well worth looking into....

I can also (sadly) say that Morrisville, a bit to the north, is pretty run-down. It may have qualities that escaped me when I visited there, but I think that Hamilton is definitely the better alternate place to consider.

I hope that some Eaton-knowers will chime in soon!

Eaton is a very small place. I would call it a hamlet. It is rural. Looks like it is stuck in a bygone era, just like Munnsville, where I call home. Hope it helps. There are no supermarkets, just a small store with a gas station. There is a post office there and a restaurant, bar.
