No problem. A lot of people don't know about Holy Cross in Oneida because it is a very small Catholic school. If you don't mind, there are some Christian schools like that in the area too. I know of one in Hamilton and another in Lowville, among others.

Fulton-Montgomery Community College in Gloversville and Union College in Schenectady are within a reasonable drive east of Utica on the Thruway. It probably takes about same time as it would to Syracuse, give or take. Schenectady also has a Community College too.

Oneonta might be another place to look as there are two colleges there and it is about 60 miles from Utica.

I've heard that about the taxes before, but it does have a lot in the way of shopping and the village is quaint.

Many people say that the Whitesboro SD is just as good for less and the same with Clinton. Some even look at the Sauquoit Valley and Frankfort-Schuyler SD's too.

Utica has some nice urban neighborhoods, as does Rome.

Utica is known more for its Italian population and now its refugee population than anything else.
