The only similarity would be that Rochester also has a diverse population. Besides that, it is an odd comparison.

Pretty sure this was only asked because of the name similarity, but not pronunciation.

What's to compare? An entire major American city to a suburb of a different city? Maybe compare New Rochelle to Brighton NY (Rochester suburb) would be better.

In the original post from exactly 12 years ago today, it does mention Monroe and Westchester Counties as well. So, perhaps that should have been the real comparison or at least in the title at the time.
