Looking to move upstate from New Rochelle, Was wondering if anyone here has any idea about the Jewish community in Dutchess county, most importantly Pawling. Seems like a ncie town, nice real estate prices...but no Jewish houses of worship.

Any help would be deeply appreciated

Temple Beth Elohim in Brewster is less then 1/2 hour away. The Jewish community is traditionally located closer to the city in places like...New Rochelle!
Most population of eastern Dutchess, is still white and Christian with groups of new immigrants. Depending on your affiliation, Danbury, CT can be another option.
On the Hudson side, you will find more options in Fishkill or Paughkeepsie.

Good advice thank you. Not a big fan Pog, Fish or Danbury. Something about pawling us drawing us in. Seems like an up and coming town. I dont necassarily need a jewish community in town, but I want to feel comfortable and have a temple within a half hour.

Hi,
I am browsing the forum and see you posted about Jewish Community in Dutchess. I recently moved to Fishkill with my family where we have started a new center serving the Jewish people in the south Dutchees from the hudson river to the TC border. If you indeed did move and are looking for something I will be glad to assist. Our center is called Pardess Center fr Jewish Life. Pardess Center for Jewish Life
