The parts and service will be more expensive than other Nissans. Expect cost to be in line with other cars that are similar in price.

It can get there. For easier jobs like brakes and oil changes I know I can get an independent shop to do it for far less or you can do it yourself.

I've heard that a new transmission will cost you around $15k. It will be closer to high performance sports car costs.

What is a break job? When the car is broken?

Or do you mean brake job?

Many of the components in the GT-R are unique and borderline exotic. The engine is just 3.8L but has twin turbos and produces 545 Hp. Any engine capable of that kind of power must have very strong internal parts and significantly upgraded oiling and cooling components. The GT-R is an all wheel drive car with power delivered in varying amounts to each wheel controlled by a very sophisticated computer controlled transmission.

There are many stories of the transmission costing over $20K to replace.

But otherwise the car is probably easier to maintain than an Italian exotic.

yea in a few years if my success comes to work i have been looking at the gtr or the bmw m5 as my first exotic cars. cant decide because the gtr looks overpriced next to a m5 since the m is bmw and their prices are a bit similar.

honestly I wouldn't be surprised if a M5 was cheaper to maintain then a GTR, though a GTR will turn more heads.

Doesn't the GTR have some sort of GPS sanctioned track nanny device so you can't have "fun" on public roads?
