When you work for a company with a large number of employees you're probably going to run into a couple of them during your career. I worked with a number of women in Denver who had all worked with a guy who turned out to be a serial killer and had killed at least two women who worked for the company. I had never met him but I did work with a guy who had been a friend of the convicted murderer who seemed like a nice guy although the police had investigated him as well. A few years ago he drove his car into an isolated area and committed suicide by carbon monoxide poisoning. I don't know if he had ever done anything wrong but the point I'd like to make is that everyone needs to be very cautious if they observe behavior that seems inappropriate. 99.9% of the time it's probably harmless but I think it's important to take precautions.
That's horrible. My friend and I agreed that this guy was the type who was capable of coming into the office and shooting everyone one day. I witnessed his violent outbursts such as kicking his desk in, slamming his fists on the walls, yelling at customers. One day he would talk to you and the next day would completely ignore you.

I've got one at my work, and he's leaving on Friday.

he stares at the girls all the time - never speaks, we joke that we will end up on the news with one of those workers who comes in and goes nuts

he works in payroll, and is just odd. During his first week, he was being trained... he felt it necessary to slap the girl doing his handover on the butt with a ruler. How he wasn't instantly dismissed is beyond me...

Then during the year he has told another co-worker not to be rude to him, as he knows how old she is, her bank details, where she lives and everything about her.

He told another co-worker that his wife is hot, whilst breathing heavy (she also works in the building)

he has told two co-workers they're fat and shouldn't be eating (he is also overweight).

In a group discussion talking he blurted out "racoon" and then walked off....

He sounds like he has very poor coping skills and social skills. Obviously he found it very stressful working in the environment he was in. I hope he got some help.

That's what I'm thinking. He figures the OP is a good star to which to hitch his wagon.

He probably has a mental illness and I do not say that because of the gift, more from his other behaviors. I worked with a woman once that told me the government watches her through her tv. So she threw it out. She also said the government constantly bugs her house. She was kind of scary.

I thought you said in another thread you were a teacher?

Yes I'm qualified to teach from junior kindergarten to Grade 6. I'm currently working in a different field for various reasons.

Never heard of junior kindergarten. Is it like pre-school?
