Oh please.........this kid isn't "gay" yet jumped knee deep into gay porn? Seems like his parents are clueless. Sorry but this kid is just either extremely stupid or has some serious psychological issues he needs to deal with. Childhood abuse? Something. You don't just wake up and decide you are going to do gay porn for money one day, I don't care how bad things are financially.
Most don't use their real names in porn my friend so it's not going to be easy. While it is possible it's not as likely as you seem to think it is. And most places dont do google searches to check out credentials either.
Yeah since when does the Army use google searches to do background checks. LOL.
The way I see it, your nephew is now an adult and can make his own decisions. While I do not condone 2 men lying together anymore than I do two women (yes I think it's wrong and immoral), I also respect their decision to do so, albeit not agreeing to it.
However, I also encourage that you talk to him on the dangers of the porn industry. Tell him on how one loses their self respect that they don't get back. Express your concern that you care for him and are concerned for him, and that while you respect his decisions as he an adult, you do not feel this is the right one for him, but don't put him down for doing it.
Yes gay porn does pay more than non gay porn, and straight people that do gay porn are known as "gay for pay". And yes often I believe people that you see in porn are often college kids that need some quick cash, and it seems porn is an easy way of doing it. Sadly I believe most porn stars have to enter a contract when they sign up, so meaning he may be there for a few years until his contract expires.

You think googling someone's name is cause for a lawsuit? Also, you think that in today's highly wired age something like this isn't going to come out. All it takes is this ... a person who knew this guy in high school posts on a blog, facebook, (something else) .. hey, do you know John X is working in gay porn under the psuedonym X? Things like this get out all the time. I think the guy should think about that before he pursues easy money. He certainly wouldn't be the first person to think he's going to work in the sex industry for a little while to make some money who gets stuck there for life. It happens all the time. I'm not sure what the shelf life on a gay porn star is, but I'd imagine it's pretty short. Is the easy money now worth jeapordizing his lifelong career prospects?
If they are doing it to conduct a hiring process then yes my friend. You are talking about america jack....eveything is cause for a lawsuit here. And i think your bias towards the dislike of his choice is colouring your view.

Would not acting upon 3rd party information like this constitute libel? It would in the corporate world.

Of course it would phil which is why anytime they do one you have to sign a document permitting them to do a background check. Now in the military it doesn't matter because the rules are different there. But i would imagine their background checks are not just using google.

Yet the USMC says they're looking for a few good men...
It really is sad that he has resorted to this to support himself. It seems like this generation will take the easiest way out that gets them the greatest amount of money.

What makes either of you think what this young man is doing is easy money?
