What are some ridiculous things that you've witnessed people getting offended over?

Maybe it was so petty, they couldn't take a joke, they were just in a very touchy mood.

Please spare the 'maybe you're being insensitive' comments because I'm generally pretty sensitive, but I won't suffer someone with a super-thin skin or is as prickly as a porcupine. There's a balance between tact and learning to take it on the chin. We shouldn't have to treat everyone like a delicate flower in case their feelings get hurt.

For instance, some people might get offended if you make fun of a certain movie they like, to use an example.

Well, my Dad got offended 'cause I was waiting in my kitchen to make a salad for dinner while he was frying the fish. We had quite the shouting match over that one.

people who get offended when they find out you don't have the same beliefs as them.
Ridiculous.

Somebody mentioned to me that I should pick up ammo at Bi-Mart. After that, I made a comment about it being the bisexual Wal-Mart. That person became offended. That person hasn't spoken to me since March. I also joked earlier in the day about wanting a Subaru instead of a 4x4 pick-up truck. Yeah, it didn't go over well with him at all. That guy is a living mascot for being thin skinned. Did I give a damn he was offended? No, not one bit! Do I regret making those jokes? Nope!

Another time while I was making a delivery, I had a box of Cheez-Its on the dashboard. The place I was delivering to was an organic foods store. Somebody from the store mentioned that I work for an organic foods distributor and don't eat organic foods. I told him most organic foods give me diarrhea. They do! He didn't like the comment and said he'd talk to somebody at my company. I never heard a word about it. Shoot, Cheez-Its are freakin' amazing!

Try. Just try telling people that the reason their joints or back hurts is because of their weight. WHEN THEY ASK YOU.

All hell will rain down on your ass.

getting offended is not ridiculous, its useful. an offended injured party can make demands.
"eye rolls" and "how dare you" are the beginning chess moves in any welfare office interview.

A guy hung up on me when I told him I am spiritual, not religious. I have to see him at my gym almost everyday I go and he gives me the evil eye. He's a womanizing, junky I found out later. But hey, he's a Roman Catholic! He's got the tattoos to prove it. lol
