Sometimes I would think about people I knew wondering what they were up to and then Facebook came along. sigh. It only confirmed I dont have anything in common with them anymore. Now I have most of the hidden.
I have one friend from high school that is like a sister to me and we are going on 40+ years of our relationship. No way do I miss any of the others from high school. So many of them were jerks.
Do I miss anyone? Not really. I tend not to dwell on past friendships, or times. There is too much going on in the present to make me really yearn or miss the past.
I honestly hardly ever think about high school, but I am 38 so maybe that has something to with it?
HS was such a small part of my life. I don't think of most of the people I went to school with, nor do I really wonder about them. Most of the friends I have now - I've been friends with for longer and we know each other better. I don't actually want to forget the people I went to school with, but since we didn't have much in common back then, and I haven't seen them since - it's just kinda happened.
Not one bit. The people I was friendly with in HS, I have remained in touch through the years. We are having a 50th HS Reunion and I have no interest in going. What would I possibly have in common with people I haven't spoken to in 50 years and spent 4 years in various classes as acquaintances?
Not very much for most but I still talk to a few via Facebook. I live in El Paso now and weird thing is that one of my old classmates I went to 7th through 12th grade with lives 2.5 miles from me despite us both being 1500 miles where we grew up at. LOL.
