Why not? Nobody on C-D nation scares me. If you have a problem with what I've posted, I'll reiterate my thoughts to your face in person.

The Raleigh board used to hold get togethers every now and then. Wife and I attended a few and loved them.

I have considered attending big get-together events on other forums I have frequented in the past and the ONLY reason I didn't go to those was due to time and distance.

CD though? Um, no thanks. I might meet up with someone one on one if they were nearby but overall, a group CD get together does not appeal to me due to the overall type of people I encounter around here.
Yeap! It can be too much if it's all of us in the room. Off the top of my head I can think at least 6 people specifically who'd show up that I just don't want to deal with in my real life. Not to mention the racists, self haters, the attention-seekers, stalkers, religious and anti-religious fanatics...Nooo thank you! I rather keep my offline life as positive and uplifting as possible.

Not by the hair of my chinny-chin-chin. There are people in other forums who might attend, ready to take offense and armed to the teeth.

I would attend it would be kind of funny. All those heated debates can come up face to face and I would be ready for anything. I have no issue saying what I say here in real life if the topic comes up. Also I can creep people out in person its a win win LOL.

I don't think there would be many debates in person.
In fact, I bet 10 bucks it would be nothing like the conversations on here.

I've done meetups with folks from other messageboards in the past, but I don't foresee any reason to attend one at this point in my life.

*sigh* Don't you miss the good ol' days before cell phone cameras and YouTube ?
I absolutely do. It was so much easier to live down all the stupid things I did when there weren't limitless opportunities for them to be broadcast globally and retrievable forever.

But those days are more dead than disco.
