So we were supposed to have a big outing with all of our friends tomorrow night for my birthday, and one by one everyone is cancelling due to the impending snow storm. Poop

So you have friends who are scared off by a weather prediction (not even an actual storm)?
So sorry about that.

I would love to have some snow. Living in Florida with constant heat is getting old. People are bundling up with the weather in the 60's today.

That's not very Jersey of them. I remember driving through drifts just because my cousin and I were stir-crazy and needed to get out of the house and go to the mall. Amusingly, one of the other people we encountered on the roads was my other cousin - her brother.

Maybe shift it to something during the day, when people won't be so worried about things like black ice? I don't really drink, but when I do, it's mostly on snowy days in bars with my friends. I've had lunch and dinner in the same place

There are a couple who haven't canceled yet, but others are freaking out over it. I know of a couple who literally will not leave the house if it snows at ALL.

I'm with you Jrz, I love to sit in a bar & have some drinks while it's snowing like crazy outside. Oh well.

We do that down here, only with monsoons and lightning instead of snowstorms. It's great.

You haven't learned by now that it snows in December and in NJ? Why is this a surprise to you that you didn't think of alternate plans if this type of thing is repeated. Snow in December in NJ? Who'd a thunk it?
