use your smartphone (if you have one), and when/if the guy starts acting strange again with deviant or somewhat threatening behavior start video recording. Use another video recording device if you have it.

Then don't play games. Just take it to the authorities and press charges.

Oh, my heart goes out to you.

Yes, these people are experts at looking and sounding stable and believable, while you look like an unstable nervous wreck-because, in this situation, you are. With good reason!

I wish it were 2005 instead of 2014. I'd be outta this house.

i'm not sure why your family would have to be the ones moving if they are the ones starting trouble. I'd make sure everything was recording / written demonstrating an objective case and then when the information is collected and reviewed by an attorney let them know that you are pressing charges.

You can always drop the charges later, but this would put you in the drivers seat here. Why should your family have to incur the costs of moving when someone else is harassing you? obviously take everything said here with legal counsel.

Well the building tenants for a lack of a better word sound pretty "ghetto" in general. The comments about this guy telling other women the OP was talking about them and they were going to woop her a**.

Don't know about you, but I have lived in a few apt. complexes over the years and the worst thing I can think of is someone parking in someone else's parking space. People got up went to work, smiled and said hello, and minded their own business.

I have a pretty good memory and this post sounds very similar in situation and style of writing regarding a mother and daughter who moved into a complex and had problems with the neighbor guy, who was staring and making comments, and other tenants hanging around smoking pot.

I commented that before you move into a building(especially in a lower income area) you drive around and observe the activities going on, the noise level, etc.

OP, get the copy of the police report, I would have asked for paramedics as well so you could have gotten checked out. Sounds like he was spraying poison and that is very serious.

Go to the doctor and get blood work done as one poster suggested.

You use all this documentation to tell the whacky landlord you need out of the lease, find out who owns the building. Forget the suggestions about moving to another unit, it sounds like you have more than one lowlife living there, you and your mom need to start driving around researching buildings.

And by that I mean, drive around the area, go to the local supermarket, drive by at night(is it quiet), all this stuff is important.

If you can get out there say within the next month or two, the landlord/owner unless they're total morons is going to hold you to the lease.

So to review:

1) Get copy of police report

2) Go to doctor and get blood work

This starts your documentation trail.

That sounds like your neighbor is selling drugs. Only drug dealers have that amount of people coming and going at all hours of the day and night.

He's probably looking back at you to see if you're hip to what he's doing....

Honestly, I don't know. I just feel alone right now. Police didn't take it serious. Some of the people on here are making me out to be the evil one simply because I just created an account.

UGH
Don't let a few negative nellies drive you away. Ignore them. You have a legitimate concern, and you have every right to post here. Listen to those who are giving you good advice.

Do you have anyone else you can talk to? Family or friends on the phone?

No, I don't. I've been working from home so long haven't really met anyone though this situation has made me realize I need to get out--at least then I wouldn't have to post online seeking comfort from strangers. lol

I just realized it smells so strongly inside because what he sprayed was the outside air vents. I turned air off and closed all air vents. I feel much better, but the scent is there lingering a bit.

Can't wait for these 2 weeks to be up, then gone and never looking back!

Thanks for the concern, truly appreciate it! What some don't get is that not everyone has a support group to turn to, so they turn online...

OP---I can't stress it enough. In fact, I'm going to shout it GO TO A DOCTOR AND GET SOME BLOOD WORK DONE! You don't know what this unstable man is spraying. What ever it is , it sounds like it's impacting your health.

And if he's spraying it on your air vents, it can be tested. If your local police are truly as dense and uninterested in doing their jobs as your landlady is, call your local fire department and the county board of health. Get someone over there to test what is sprayed on your air vents. I'm just dumfounded that you seem to not care about this at all - if what you say is true, you have been poisoned, and you don't seem the least bit interested in knowing what it is that poisoned you. I'm just literally shaking my head in amazement over that.

I am going, but just wondering... do you or anyone you know have any experience with inhaling chemicals? It's 4am where I am, this happened at 10am, so I am wondering how long is it good for? Like would the doctors still be able to find out anything after so many hours?
