What do you think of them?

I just read this article: What to do when someone corrects your grammar | PurpleCar
"Polite, secure people do not correct other people’s grammar. If they have the meaning of what one is saying in conversation, most listeners will overlook slight errors."

I find it very uncomfortable when I am in the presence of someone who corrects someone else's grammar. Not quite sure why someone feels the need to shame the person. (Or is it "whom"? I will admit my grammar is not perfect 100% of the time.)

I think it's a passive aggressive move.

I think it's more a type of perfectionism.

Some people just like things the way they're supposed to be.

I think unless the mistake changes the meaning of what you're saying or it just makes you sound ridiculously stupid (like "I were there"). There's no need to mention it, especially in casual conversation or text. A professional paper is another matter.

You would call me grammar police, GiGi603. However, I limit myself to the written word. I'm a copy editor. It drives me crazy to read some of the things people write. It's hard for me to imagine that someone would prefer to write something incorrectly. I don't bother on c-d, as there's a rule against it.

I couldn't care less about verbal communications.

And it's "who."

How do you feel about "mistakes" that aren't technically rules, like ending a sentence with a preposition?

That doesn't bother me at all. Most of the time, going to the effort of not ending a sentence with a preposition makes you sound prissy. I also use "who" sometimes when "whom" is what's correct. That's for spoken English. I make more of an attempt to be correct in written English, but I take it on a case-by-case basis.

And obvious typos don't bother me.

you know what, I know a Network Engineer he always look for issues so at home also he look for issues. So you also look for mistakes. But I don't That is the biggest different between you and me. I strongly believe in no one is perfect either complete. So writing style also the same no one need to be a teacher either lecturer. There is a simple theory what drives you crazy you can easily SKIP.

From today I am going to read all your posts and I am going to find your mistakes deal?
