I do often wonder who other guests are going to be, but this is because I am a bit shy and don't have a partner so I have to show up alone usually. But I would never dream of asking the question. The woman in question obviously has shown how rude she is - particularly since you attended her party.
I've never heard of asking the host for a guest list ? This is terribly rude it makes me wonder how people were raised ?
Perhaps they are trying to avoid someone then they shouldn't go or maybe an ex is also invited - doesn't matter it's never appropriate or proper to ask for the list. I think, I would tell the person asking for the list to not attend.
^^Agreed. I couldn't imagine doing that to anyone, though, I'll admit that be thinking about that until the party. But this is a huge reason why I love public RSVP sites so that I don't have to do much guessing as to who is showing up!
