Why? It's not 1985. Why give a gift a teen will never use? Rather passive aggressive. Nothing says that a neighbor has go give a gift...though many do....but make it more ey or something useful.

Fifty $2 bills would be different.

Or 100 brand new one dollar coins in a black velvet satchel.

Might encourage saving some.

That's a great gift, wish you lived by me.

Many decades ago my aunt gave me a gift of about $20 (that used to be a lot of money)
She gave me a blank journal and when I opened it the first page had $1 and a short "congrats" message from her. Then I turned the page; another dollar. Next page; a dollar...and so on. Finally 20 pages in was the last dollar with a note, "All good things must come to an end!" and "spend wisely".

Of all the gifts I received as a child, this is one of the few I remember.

I would slip a $100 bill onto the nightstand before I left.
$100 graduation gift for the neighbor's 18 year old daughter...may want to assure the parents there's nothing weird going on.

I only had 2 people give me $100 when I graduated high school. Everyone else was $20 or $50. And I had fairly wealthy family and family friends. Granted, that was nearly 20 years ago, so $100 would be more common now, but still, I don't think $50 would be out of line at all, even now. $20 might be a little cheap these days, unless you didn't know her very well. But an 18 year old is going to be happy for every penny.

That's a really cute gift idea! I'm going to remember that one.

Don't give her cash. She's going to blow it in an instant. Give her something she'll remember. like an Invicta watch. They're not cheap but they're beautiful and they last forever. A good quality watch is a perfect graduation gift, and everybody needs a reliable timepiece. You can pick one up at a reasonable price on Evine.
