I think it must be very stressful for him to meet and speak with women. I think he needs to learn how to relax around women but I do not think he will ever be capable of doing that. Being tense and awkward will drive most women away. I am going out on a limb here and I say I think he has asked this question to women before who he did not know that well.
My current girlfriend wouldn't step foot inside the backyard building.
I don't blame her!
Seriously.
When that space was your quiet space, away from all distractions... fine. I get that. Perfectly acceptable.
But what girl, when she goes to her date's home, will be happy when she is NOT taken into the house? And how thrilled should she be to be taken to a windowless shed in the back yard instead?
Screams creepy to me....
On pof woman wouldn't give me a chance until I came accross my current woman in February 2014
I think that women will give you a chance but you have to relax and not try to hard or be too needy. I do not think you will understand what I am saying.

This makes me wonder what is the protocol for someone like the OP mentioning that he's on the spectrum upfront? It might turn some women away, but it might also give them context for an interaction that may seem awkward or clinical or unemotional.

I'm on the spectrum unfortunately.
