Do you notice this? I do! There's a few forums that I used to frequent where this would be bandied about, people would use it to ruin your reputation!
It seemed to always get the moderators attention even when people were lying. To me it is an awful accuation to force onto someone you don't know! People seem to use it alot these days when they don't like a person's opinion.

It seems pretty wrong to me!
It's against the TOS to accuse people of trolling here.
I agree. It's too generic for moderation use, and overall, it's bothersome that any diverging opinion gets "troll" in response. An annoying and overused term.
I agree it's over-used, but there are some real ones here. Definition of the term is problematic but I like "posting to rile people up and provoke angry responses".
It really is an over used term. Someone did accuse me of being a troll on here once so maybe it wasn't always against the TOS. I responded on principle but it doesn't really bother me. I may have a low self perspective but I'm still not worried what some random person thinks of me...only way I'd worry is if they were a potential employer.
I think people who accuse people of being trolls like that are the ones that are actually bothered by what people say. They want to call people names because they think it will make them feel better about themselves. That's what I've gathered anyway.
Yes Thunderkat this happens to me on that site when they disagree with my opinion. It's mortifying.
Really? Do you get all your validation from strangers on the Internet, or do you happen to know any people in real life?
