All ages for sure. Especially now when I'm 39. My youngest friend I have is in her early 20's and oldest in her 50's....those are the once I have things in common with and hang out with.

Me and my friends are 25. We are all younger than our female friend who is 26.

I am 53 and I have friends that I "hang out with" regularly that range in age from their mid thirties to their late sixties.

These are people we may go out with, or invite to our house, or go to their house. The younger crowd may have a few friends who are in their twenties who may be there as well on occasion and we get along fine with them but since I have kids that age, I am not sure I'd hang out with them one on one very comfortably. I mean, I'd be at ease but they probably would think I'm ancient.

I'm 36 and find it very difficult to befriend younger than 30. Went through an extremely lonely patch and had foul experiences with a 27 and 23 year old acquaintances who were in too far of different place in life for me to relate to. Would rather be friends with older people.

I'm in my mid 30s and have many male and female friends who are in their 40s, 50s, and one who is turning 60 anytime. Most of the time I forget they are older, since they are just as fun loving and active (sometimes more so) than people my own age.

I'm 47, my husband is 56, my best friend is 47, and I have a lot of friends around my own age. But I'm also friends with people 20+ years older and 20 years younger. I'm really bad at guessing the ages of people, so it kind of works in my favor. I just like who I like and don't worry much about what age bracket they're in.

Husband and I are in our 30s now but since our 20s we've had these very good friends in their 50s/60s. She was in my M.S. program and we've been friends ever since. Our personalities are very similar so the age thing has never seemed to be an issue. (Although I might call her ancient to tease her! )

Well, you have a point!

We recently went to a birthday party that included a lot of this very young (to us) generation. I really enjoyed myself and there just didn't seem to be an age issue at all.

So who knows?

Well, if they pull out their cell phone within the first ten minutes of us getting together it's a deal-breaker for me. Hah.

Rudeness had no age limits.
