Yes, put yourself aside for the moment and get in touch, be available. You have lot going on - and good for you, but things can come and go, while your friendship is probably the most valuable. So many people today are so self absorbed, you could tell them a spaceship landed on your street, they would say "that's nice, I had an ice latte at Starbucks", and go on and on about them and them alone.
