Mom and Pop. Though sometimes I call him Daddy when I'm teasing him or one of us is particularly distraught.

Last night my 8 year old asked me when she is going to stop calling me mommy and start calling me mom. I told her when she wants to. She said "never! I will always call you mommy!" Thought for a second and followed up with "unless I am a teenager or adult, cause that would be so embarrassing ".

Yupp. I don't use Daddy or Mommy much anymore. I also still call my closest Aunt, Auntie anything else would be weird.

When they were living "mom and dad". Mommy and Daddy sound weird to me for anyone under 9. Or 8.

Mom and Dad

on that note, right now my 5 year old calls us (wife and I) by our first name about half the time.

My parents are Mom and Dad. I stopped saying Mommy/Daddy at a very young age (but I also have much older siblings who had stopped using these terms, so that probably influenced me).

My kids call me Mama and my husband, Daddy.

This is just me, but I cringe slightly inside when adults call their mother Mommy. I don't have the same visceral reaction to Daddy.

No first names for parents! That would seem weird and I don't know anyone who does that.

When I was a kid --- called my mother "ma" and called my father "daddy"

When I got older --- called my mother "mother" and my father "dad"

When my brothers and I talked about our parents, in conversation our mother was "ma" and our father "dad".

I've been calling my mom "Mommy" since.....forever. The last time I talked to her before she died in 2006, I said "I love you Mommy...."

i'm 50 and if she were still here (she'd be 73) i'd call her Mommy.

I'm Southern. Mama is Mama and Daddy is Daddy. Daddy died in 2010, but I still refer to him as Daddy. They were Grandmommy & Granddaddy to our kids. The grandchildren are all 25-30, and they still call my mother "Grandmommy", and their spouses/girlfriends do, too! It's adorable!
