I was surprised that there was no legal forum topic..
If this belongs else where then please tell me where..
This guy has a record a mile long that we just discovered..
Mostly misdemenaors though
Planning to lay this all out to Niece very soon..
He has been lying to her about so many things...
He had 3 court dates coming up in a few weeks(two driving with no license, drug, speeding) and we just discovered
3 outstanding out of state misdemeanor warrants (2 theft & assault)
We would love for him to reap as many consequences as possible to
help remove him from her life..
Coud use some advice on who we notify to be sure the court knows about warrants...
Do we notify the court, the prosecuting attorney or the state that has the warrants out??

Is your niece and adult? If so, I doubt this is any of your business

There is no "Legal" topic area of the forum because it is against the TOS you agreed to when you signed up to give "legal" advice.
In regards to your niece, if she is an adult she can make her own decisions, remove your nose from her business.

Yes but how does he treat her? I know career criminals that treat the ladies very well. I understand she's your niece and you want the best for her but end of the day it's HER choice.

Have a conversation with your niece about his background and see what she wants to do with the relationship. I recommend that you apologize to her in advance about your snooping around in her business. Be prepared for her to be ok with it because, hey, it's her life.
I hope you verified that the information you have is for this guy.
Good grief. I can't imagine anyone being that up in a younger relative's lovelife that they would go to such great lengths.
She's an adult. Butt out.
Sort of...but if I was an adult and was dating someone who actually had a criminal life and found out people close to me didn't tell me...to say I would be pi**d is an understatement.
What if she doesn't find out and marries this loser, or he gets her pregnant?

There is no need to tell the court as they have their own ways of finding out- and they routinely check. Just be aware that having warrants does not mean the guy will get arrested. Sometimes they are no longer active, the other county does want to extradite, or the county where he is wanted only requests extradition for felonies etc.
