Some things I do are: housework, surf the Internet, read, play a little guitar, play or cuddle with my dog, daydream.

I like to clean. It's just too hard to do when others are around.

I do the same as BOS21AD, although I dance with my step counter on. Building photo libraries, reading books, short trips to nearby cities if I have the whole day off. And just s sitting on the porch, watching the dragonflies!

I read (I go through a couple of books a week),
Watch news and sports on TV (but usually while doing another project),
Work in the yard,
Clean the house,
A couple of times a week I cook something that will last for days,
Do laundry,
Keep in touch by phone or E-mail with friends and family who don't live nearby,
Do the shopping,
Surf the net,
Do volunteer projects that I've taken on for charities or my political party.

If I really want to veg out I do crossword puzzles and watch TV shows I've taped (Masterpiece Mystery and several BBC series are favorites).

Does going to the gym count? I go alone but I'm not alone while I'm there.

Grocery shopping, Library, when I have a foster dog I walk the dog alone sometimes, I love to drive a car alone and sometimes tell my DH I am going on a chore but spend most of that time just driving aimlessly for a while. I love going to a gallery or museum alone tho rarely do it.

I'm alone a lot because my kids are grown and gone, and my husband works out of state for about two weeks out of every four.

I love when he's home, but I have also grown to enjoy my time alone. I am literally never bored or lonely. Here's what I generally fill my days and evenings with:

Working in flower beds
Internet browsing
Projects around the home (anything from planting an herb garden, sewing drapes or pillows, stenciling an accent wall, making scented bath salts for gifts, that sort of thing)
Volunteer work
Reading my newest book
Bingeing on Vikings or Call the Midwife or Outlander (that sort of series - LOL)
Housework - I love to do things like haul all the bedding, pillows, afghans, etc outside to air and to be disinfected naturally by the sun
Sit on the patio in the evenings with a glass of wine and my dogs at my feet, playing Words With Friends or talking on the phone with a family member
