I'd go to the wedding. It's almost too easy to meet single emotional women who are caught up in the moment and not thinking clearly at weddings. Women love weddings so much you probably have time to ask a random person to go as friends. Plus there is usually free drinks. How can you pass this up?

Lots of people go to weddings stag. Look at it like a confidence building exercise, grab some free food and a few drinks, you can always leave early. You could also just attend the reception and blend in nicely.

ETA: Oops I may have wrongly assumed the OP was a guy? If so, my bad.
