If texting her "we're the same" really did creep her out, then... you're nowhere near "the same." She's an oversensitive nut who reads meaning into words that nobody else would read meaning into to.
I would think that would make them very much the same.
How about this: maybe the text you are so stressed about didn't go through or came through hours later. I've had that happen as well.
I agree that you're over thinking things. Most of us realize that having something in common with someone does not necessarily mean you want to jump their bones.

You are 100% overthinking it. Especially the absence of "lol," which is one of the dumbest things anyone can text unless they are, in fact, actually laughing out loud.
You are way over thinking this. BTW, if you're not sure if she's interested I you or not...some women do prefer the direct approach--ask her out somewhere and let her know you enjoy her company. The worst thing, in my opinion, is when some guy looks waaaaay too much into what you say/do and interprets that as something it may/may not be.
