I don't get this whole weekend for it. Its a "party" not a "weekend". Anyways...
So you made your decision but I think you are right...it might be time to start making some friends outside of old school buddies. Its kind of a hard time for a lot of people, because making friends when you were in school is a lot easier then making them as an adult. There are so many more factors. Work, hobbies, relationship status and the fact no one is spending so much time together.
I have seen getting a hobby that can be done with others can really help make new friends. Just put yourself out there and I imagine you will find some people who are also wanting to make new "adulthood" friends.
