This isn't the first time I've lost a wingman or good male buddy to a girlfriend. I get it. Life happens but this guy was a good buddy and a good wingman. It will be hard to find a good replacement....

Ok, first question, "Why do you feel you need a wingman?" And, then, how do your feel about being someone else's wing man?
And next, why are you more concerned about losing your wing man than your girlfriend?
I had that happen some years back with a former boyfriend - we'd stayed in touch as friends, but he gradually dropped contact once he'd met someone he got serious about. (Only reason I found out he'd gotten married was a comment someone had left on his band's MySpace page)
I notice on CD you get people making threads about "good friends". Than it comes out they know the person four months.
There are friends and there are acquaintances. Sounds like this is someone just to hang out with in bars and clubs.
We've known each other for 7 years. We've done a few road trips together. But yes, much our relationship was based around bars and chasing after women. Well, he found himself a nice lady so mission accomplished. I am happy for him.....

Well you can know someone 20 years and they can still be an acquaintance.
A real friend manages to have time for their friends and a new love interest. Whose to say it will work out? If 6 months down the road he all of sudden now has time for you, I would rethink about hanging out with him.

Who said anything about losing a girlfriend? I am single. My buddy just "gained" a girlfriend.
