I'm just asking because Facebook doesn't let you know when someone unfriends you. As foe me, I've only been unfriended by people I don't really keep in contact with anyway. I've never asked, but one did tell me he did it because he was making his friends list only family members or close friends. Just out of curiosity, do you ever ask why you were unfriended?

No, I never ask, but sometimes I'm curious. Then I just shrug it off, because it's never anyone of great importance like you said.

I recently cleaned my friends list up and it felt nice to do so. I actually might do it again. I'm trying to keep it mostly to people who regularly interact with me (either online or IRL; a couple people I talk to or hang out with regularly, but they aren't active much online). I don't like the "ghost" friends. Feels like spying almost .

Nope, don't care. It's the internet, not real life.

Kinda my sentiments, too.

Don't get me wrong, I check FB all day to keep up with close friends and relatives. But maybe this is a reflection of my age - it ain't real life. So I ONLY use it to message friends/relatives in other cities, keep up with the neighborhood facebook page, and read funny memes related to my profession. Once it starts to delve into digital drama, I back out and move on. If someone unfriends me then ... meh....

No but sometimes I feel like sending them a request to sicken them and to let them know I seen what they have done. Sometimes I feel that certain people sneakily do this and think that we don't notice.

In my opinion after Facebook added the "unfollow" button there was no reason to delete anyone. Personally I was recently deleted by someone who I talk to and have had on there for 3 years, i'm not sure why, it could've been an accident but I have a feeling she did not like my opinion.

To be honest I think it's rude/unnecessary. It just makes it awkward when you have to see the person on a daily basis. It also makes the person wreck their brain wondering what they did.

I've never even noticed that someone has unfriended me.

I do not know if I have ever been unfriended, not that I have noticed anyway. So what does that say? Maybe I have been unfriended and just did not notice, so, it really did not matter. I have unfriended people before, those that I really did not know or those that I have not heard from in a long time. I know people though that really value the number of FB friends that they have; like they won't delete anyone from their friends list. The loss of any 'friends,' would be a hit to their ego I guess. I like to thin the heard now and then. How many people can I really know if I have thousands of 'friends?' Answer: Not very well. No one has told me that they unfriended me. I did tell one person I know that I unfriended them because their messages were a little too edgy/adult. I don't need that on my FB feed.

I agree. Usually, I will eventually find out who unfriended me. It's better to "unfollow" someone than unfriend to avoid that awkward moment if you happen to run into that person
