Someone I've known since I was 15. Played drums with. Worked with. And he got up yesterday at his mother's house, walked outside, and shot himself on the front lawn.

I just cannot even begin to understand.

Default It will be tough

I wish I could just engulf you in a hug & let you cry.

Yes, it is going to be tough to go through & you're going to have to take it one day at a time & no one is going to pretend it's easy. Just know it was your friends decision & what you can do is pray for that person.

I wish I could give you peace, but that will come with time. I wish it could be easier, but it normally it is not. Just know we are here for you.

I sm so sorry. Suicide is a rough one. A cousin of mine hung himself during his divorce proceedings and it still bothers me decades later not to mention another cousin's young sin who found him. Hugs to you and others affected. You may want to find some counseling specifically for suicide issues.

I'm sorry you lost your friend. There is something about suicide that is so ... mystifying and unsettling.

A high school senior in our community killed himself yesterday. He played in the marching band and had a twin sister and a full ride to a state university. But yesterday he jumped off a bridge.

It's the worst.

My sincere condolences to you. I have lost several people I knew to suicide, including one of my closest friends when I was a teenager, so I can relate to what you're going through. A suicide is shocking and confusing, and the emotions that those left behind have to deal with are very traumatic. Anger, sorrow, guilt- many people have this churning brew of feelings after a friend or loved one takes their life. I'm so sorry, my thoughts are with you and the family of your friend.

Good lord.... man, what a horrific thing. I had a friend back in HS that did that, still haunts me 30 yrs later.

Sorry to hear that, truly.

Sorry for his family, you have to be in a whole different place to contemplate something like that... sad sad stuff.

Sorry for your loss.

My best friend from middle school (best friend in the sense that we literally talked on the phone every single day or hung out together and 30 years later I still have her phone number memorized by heart due to calling it so often) committed suicide in college after a boyfriend broke up with her.

I still think about her all these years later.
