I cried every time I had to have my picture taken.

In every professional/posed photo, it's obvious that I had been bawling my eyes out for the first six years of my life.

I have no idea why I cried but to this day I absolutely dread having my picture taken.

I was the youngest of five kids. I very rarely cried because I got teased mercilessly when I did. My siblings thought it was hilarious that a devil Halloween mask terrified me. My brother would put it on and jump out of a closet to scare me.

When people sang the Happy Birthday song at parties. I would have to be escorted outside until they were done.

When my dad shaved off his beard.

Another funny one; not about me but my niece who is 15 now. She was about 4 years old and we were eating out (mall food court). She made a comment about the food being good and everyone sort of nodded in agreement. Then all of a sudden she started bawling with tears streaming down. We didn't know what was wrong with her. Found out it was because we didn't verbally say that the food was good. That still makes me laugh.

Default Cried

My parents and I were on vacation - I must have been 6 - and I noticed a sign that said "Do Not Pass"... I started crying hysterically - my dad pulled the car over and a local Cop came over to see if there was an emergency. I got more hysterical cuz I thought the cop was going to arrest my Dad for Passing the sign.... Once they explained what it meant and calmed me down we went on our way.... I'm sure the cop had lots of laughs at that one.

This wasn't one of mine, but you're not alone on that one. Some of my friends' children have done that as well. I wonder why that is.

I started crying one day at school and my teacher asked me what was wrong. I told her my shoes were too tight. I guess I didn't have common sense to untie the shoes and loosen them up...lol I was 6 at the time.

My parents were hosting a party, maybe NY's Eve, can't recall. I was 5, and one of their guests, an older man, told me how pretty I was and picked me up, and stood me on a table for everyone to look at!!! I burst into tears. My mother rescued me but not without telling me I was being silly for crying.

The only other ridiculous thing I recall is when I was 12. We were leaving a 3 year-posting in Hong Kong and I held it all together till we got to the airport. The tears started, and evolved into huge gasping sobs... but not only that, my parents and other families leaving HK, trying to be stoic, were also affected, and before long, almost everyone was crying. lol. My parents eventually asked me to try to have some self control, because of the epidemic. lol.
