I am not single, but my Valentine's Day is just going to involve myself and my boyfriend...going to the gym, like we always do on Tuesdays. Lol. We were busy last weekend so I didn't get the chance to reserve any restaurant around here for today. So I thought, eff it, let's just do our thing Friday when people are over the V-day craziness.
I'd like to give up work for Lent. LOL

Love the sentiment.

I did that almost nine years ago. I think it's called "retirement." I highly recommend it! The onlyt downside is that you never get a day off.

I made lobster tails and crab legs for dinner after we shopped for tile for the kitchen back splash. I think I was more excited about the tiles then I was it being Valentines day. We're both still a tad under the weather from that cold going around. Dinner was tasty though, so was the Proseco.

Ha! I got excited about the area rug I bought Friday night. I pulled it out of my car, dragged it into the house, moved the living room furniture, laid down the rug, then moved the furniture back. I guess that was my gift to myself. I kept walking into the room and saying (to myself), "Look at my new rug!" Yeah, I'm pathetic.

I actually feel grateful for having the day to myself and find it fun to use it as a reason to treat myself right. What are some treats or ways you like to spoil yourself?
i also bought a steak and hired a call girl,,

i would think thru the decades of equality ladies should be doing this too...
