No but it sort of happened to me once. Someone left me a voicemail and then said "oh, my phone died"...it didn't. She continued to talk about me until her phone actually died. It was rather amusing.
I was talking to my wife about how my buddies getting taken by some woman he met in Mexico. That she just wanted to be married for the green card and couldn't stand his son. I guess somewhere in there I redialed in my pocket and he was mad at me for quite a while. Right up to when everything I talked about went true.
No. But once, I was sitting on the bed with my now husband and just bothering him. Tickling him, grabbing him, etc. in a playful manner. And he started yelling, "No, don't do that, I'm gay! I'm gay!" All of a sudden we both hear, "Hello? Hello? John?*" Apparently, all of the jostling dialed a friend of ours. We hung up the phone and just started laughing.
We never found out if our friend actually heard his newfound proclamation.
No, but a close friend of mine did the equivalent on me via email.
She sent another close friend of ours an email, accidentally copied me on it, and in the email she was complaining about me to the friend. I jumped into the thread and said "I had no idea!" It was amusing watching her squirm and fall all over herself apologizing. I laughed about it. We're still as close as ever.
My old roommate told her bf at the time she was staying in sick one night.
She went to dinner with another guy and butt dialed the bf who listened in on a lot of her evening.
My parents still have a phone with physical buttons so they still but dial me about 2-3 times per year and leave a 3 minute voicemail each time (max time limit). This last time they were at home and I heard things that cannot be unheard. And it wasn't them talking bad about anyone... Never again will I listen to a voicemail from them, even a possibly legit one.
