What is considered "traditionally American" looking?

Do you really not know the answer to that question?

Do you think calling an Asian person a 'chinaman' is offensive or not?

How...did we go from "What's traditionally American?" to "Chinaman" Please help me understand your thought process.

People have been asking me this question/these types of questions my whole damn life. When someone asks me what are you? I simple tell them I am human. Because really why should my nationality/ethnicity matter?

Again, nothing to take offense at. Relax and be happy someone is taking an interest in you.

So if I'm not white and blue-eyed, I'm not 'traditionally American'? Despite both sides of my family having been born in the U.S. and holding American citizenship for over a hundred years (more in some cases)? If you're born in the U.S. or are a legal immigrant who has gained American citizenship, you're a citizen, regardless of what you look like.

We all know what the "quintessential" American looks like. If you don't, go to the library and study fashion magazines. They'll show you what the "typical" look is. I'm not playing this game with you all.

Also, if fashion isn't good enough for you...go study our ambassadors over the past 100 years. They, too, can show you what "America" looks like.
